The Canada Skilled Worker Program has several eligibility criteria. To join the program, you must be a resident of Canada who is in need of specialized skills in fields related to your occupation. In addition to having these skills, you must also be in need of a job that provides remuneration in the form of an income and you must have the intention of settling permanently in the country. As long as you meet the basic eligibility criteria and have not yet applied for Canadian immigration, you will be allowed to remain in the country and apply for a permanent residence once you have become a permanent resident.

When it comes to the application procedure for the program, there are several ways to apply for Canadian citizenship. First, you can apply for provincial nomination. If you have lived in Canada for more than five years, you will automatically be given a provincial nomination. In case you do not have a princely residence but you have acquired citizenship by way of another country, you can still apply for a provincial nomination. Under this scheme, foreigners who have been approved as eligible workers will be given work permits and Canadian citizenship. On the other hand, immigrants who have not fulfilled the eligibility requirements of the province where they reside can also take advantage of the provestral skilled worker program.
